There have been studies that show organic farms are more energy efficient then the equivalent conventional farms, Ways of implementing a more energy efficient farm include:

Reduce operating energy
Use renewable energy if possible
Optimize material use with the only a few and the best materials possible
Save on resources in the design, building, and usage of the farm

Energy bill take up a large amount of any farms budget so it makes sense to make it as energy efficient as possible, energy bills can take up 10% of a farms budget!
